Just when I thought I had seen the last of old man winter, mother nature decided to have one last fling with him. It was especially frustrating as my son and I had cleaned up the yard the weekend before.
We were hit with at least 8 inches of wet, heavy snow. Can you see what the snow did to the trees?
A top of one of my trees busted off.
I heard trees falling and branches snapping when I went out to do chicken chores that morning.
This was the road. Trees were laying down in the middle of the road. No way could I get in to the office.
Here's my husband's car. Snow all the way up to the bottom of the car, and then some. He had to drive the truck into work that day.
Branches weighed down by all the snow.
A winter wonderland out there. I was not happy to see it. Not at all.
The back yard.
It was such a mess. I didn't even bother to try and shovel.
My son made me a card. It's probably the best gift I've every received from him for Mother's Day.
I've got a good kid.
