Dali Lama ~ Also what I strive to do
This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

~Geronimo's Caddillac~
They put Geronimo in jail down South
Where he couldn't look a gift horse in a mouth
Sergeant, Sergeant don't you feel
There's something wrong with your automobile
Warden, Warden, listen to me
Be brave and set Geronimo free
Governor, Governor, 'aint it strange
You never see a car on the Indian range
Oh boys take me back
I wanna ride in Geronimo's Cadillac
Oh boys I wanna see it for real
I wanna ride in Geronimo's automobile
Take me, take me, take me back
I wanna ride in Geronimo's [Cadillac]
Warden, Warden, don't you know
The prisoners 'aint got no place to go
It took ol'Geronimo by storm
They took the badges from his uniform
Jesus told me and I believe it's true
The redmen are in the sunset too
They stole their land and they won't give it back
And they sent Geronimo a Cadillac
Oh boys take me back
I wanna ride in Geronimo's Cadillac
Oh boys I wanna see it for real
I wanna ride in Geronimo's automobile
Take me, take me, take me back

Indian Prayer
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
of Beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the star-shine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at myt grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
of Beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the star-shine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at myt grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

Your Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence |
You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well. An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly. Ponder for the day
"We are already whole, even when there is something wrong with us. No matter what is wrong with you there is still more right with you than wrong with you, as long as you are still breathing."
Something to keep in mind when you think everything is going wrong with you. As long as you are breathing you have more all right with you. Sure beats the alternative.

Went for a walk today
Went for a walk at lunch time today. Haven't done that for a while. We have huge snow banks since the blizzard hit us. I remember when I was a child going for walks with my mom and climbing those "big hills" and trailing along behind her. Oh to be a kid again and climb those hills, lol. But I will get to experience that all again through my DS in the coming winters. Won't that be fun! :-)

Silly thought for the day
Wisconsin - where the gnomes run free. If you drink just the right amount you can see them dancing around your bed. :-)
If there is to be peace in the nations ...
Found this on www.mjlacore.net. Thought it was a good thing to know and remember. The blog I got it from was written by a gentleman who is over in Iraq.
If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.
Lao Tzu (570-490 B.C.)
“Nonviolence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man”

Decided I absolutely love this!
Serenity Water Bell Fountain
Calming murmurs of water bubble up from the center of the fountain causing two floating bells to gently swirl around six fixed bells, ringing softly when they meet. Brass bells, plastic bowl. 5.5 inches high and 14.5 inches in diameter.

Made it through the blizzard
Got off work early Thursday. Had near white-out conditions by the fairgrounds. Then we "waited it out" :-) Friday it was so pretty out. I felt like a kid again. It was so calm and quiet and there were tons of snow hills and drifts. I hope we have more snowfalls like this when DS is older. I remember all the fun I had when I was a young'un, lol. We did take him out for a while and pulled him around in a sled. He had lots of fun. DH took a couple pics of me with DS and I think they turned out cute. DS was holding my hand and helping me navigate the "treacherous snowhills" LOL. We took it easy over the weekend and I got caught up on a bunch of stuff. Was a wonderful time for a snow day :-)
