As much as I love this pattern it is taking so long for each row. ... I feel kind of at a loss. I'm kind of thinking I should maybe try this pattern with a thicker yarn, less stitches. ...
I'm gonna sit on it for a little bit, but I have a feeling I'm gonna end up ripping this. :-(
Then what do I do with the yarn. This is the second lace project I've started that I have given up up on. Does this mean I'm destined to be a non-lace knitter?
In other knitting news: I have been busy. Will post pictures in separate blog entries. My knitting mojo came back and I've been busy with little projects.

Don't give up on lace! Take a break, then try again with an easier project. You can do it!
Thank you for the kind words. :-) I've been mulling it a little bit and I am going to frog it. I headed over to Knitty.com and looked what they have over there for lace-type projects.
Also, I was thinking of "Ichthus" :-) But I can't remember if you have that available.
I haven't finished writing it down yet, and with the techniques involved, I'm not sure it would be a good intro to lace. My Laura shawl is much easier, if you liked that one, and it's available for free. :) Knitty also has some nice lace projects. Good luck!

I did the branching out scarf about a year ago, but that was kind of a pita. Even though they say it's a good beginner one, lol.
FWIW - I've knit quite a bit of lace now but have yet to finish a rectangular wrap. I have a couple on the needles that I need to face reality with myself.
You might give one of the triangular patterns a try. They seem to hold my interest a bit more at least.
